As a Registered Nurse you will ensure all residents consistently receive a high standard of person centred, evidence based care.
You will ensure all care is assessed, planned, implemented, and evaluated to meet residents individual need, and that the resident and their relatives are fully involved in decisions about their care.
Act as a role model to Care Assistants, providing leadership and support, and ensure all care is delivered safely and effectively.
Maintain high standards of record keeping, and ensure all care is clearly and accurately recorded as detailed within the NMC Code.
Maintain safe practice in medicines handling, administration, and storage and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and guidance, as issued by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and Royal College of Nursing.
Provide an accurate and detailed staff handover to ensure continuity of residents care over a 24 hour period.
Maintain professional integrity and accountability, and ensure that the caring culture expected of nursing and care staff is always maintained.
Skills and Experience:
Valid NMC Pin Number - Level 1 Registered Nurse (Adult Branch)
A minimum of 12 months post registration experience, preferably within an older person setting
Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
Caring and compassionate disposition
Ability to take charge of the shift in the absence of the Senior Registered Nurse
