Job description

QC / Lab Technician Key Responsibilities Include:

•Take samples from the line for microbiological & analytical testing
•Analyse finished products to approved specifications and in accordance with the prescribed methods
•Make sure date coding & labelling is correct
•Monitor CCPs – rinser validation, crimp & screw cap checks & pasteuriser set up and monitoring using Redpost
•Carry out ATP monitoring as required, using Accupoint 2 system
•Work in a safe manner at all times following the Health and Safety guidelines
•Work in line with Work Instructions and prescribed methods at all times
•Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of individual work area and ensure a standard of good housekeeping in the laboratory
•Make pasteuriser adjustments as required
•Communicate, as soon as practicable, any problems/issues found as a result of the analysis/checks carried out to the QC Team Leader, QA Manager or relevant operative
•Carry out laboratory work efficiently within the safety policies and quality procedures of the company
•Report results through laboratory records and the company’s computer system

Job requirements

QC / Lab Technician Skills Required:

Proven problem solving skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative;
Comprehensive data collation and report writing ability;
Demonstrable track record of delivering high quality work timeously, coupled with the ability to contribute to the generation of ideas for improvement;
Strong organisation skills with an ability to prioritise own workload effectively; and
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
