Key responsibilities include:
· Responding to customer queries regarding orders, enquiries, deliveries etc
· Communicating with customers to keep them pro-actively informed about deliveries (for example if a delivery is delayed)
· Ensure the timely and successful resolution of queries according to customer needs
· Accurately maintain and update customer records
· Communicate with drivers to ensure they are meeting customer expectations regarding delivery times etc.
· Dealing with driver queries and issues
· Liaise and inform other team members to keep internal teams updated and ensure customer expectations are met
The successful candidate will be:
· An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with a confident telephone manner
· Have experience of working in a busy Transport/Distribution environment
· Customer service experience
· Enthusiastic and keen to learn
· Very organised and able to work as part of a team to resolve issues
· Able to work under pressure and to time sensitive deadlines
· Able to multi-task and prioritise work
