Key duties include:
Assessing proactive maintenance best practice tools and techniques and making recommendations for their implementation.
Making and influencing decisions regarding maintenance regimes to maximise uptime, throughput, quality, and yield and optimise expenditure. Applying proactive, predictive and preventative techniques and analysis tools, such as CBM, RBI and FFS.
Capturing key equipment data, as leading and lagging KPIs and producing reports.
Preparing and implementing proposals for modification requests relating to Reliability and the Mechanical Integrity of Fixed Equipment.
Preparing Asset replacement/improvement justifications.
Leading Root Cause Failure Analysis within multi discipline groups.
Carrying out Reliability improvement projects, including identifying critical equipment, scoping relevant studies, implementing recommended solutions and measuring effectiveness.
Supporting/developing use of CMMS and other relevant systems.
Carrying out Life Cycle costing analyses (deriving benefits cases for intervention techniques and prioritising action areas).
Deploying maintenance build quality best practice including component and materials of construction selection and installation standards (eg vessels, bearings, drive belts, laser alignment).
Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidates' experience, knowledge and background will include:
Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Relevant Mechanical background with knowledge of EC&I in a Plant Engineering role
Proven track record of past achievement
